You have no business telling someone they can’t do something.
You don’t know their capacity.
You don’t know their wiring.
You don’t know the fire they’ve walked through.

All you really know
is the edge of your abilities —
and the limits you haven’t challenged yet.

But here’s what I keep seeing:

People project their ceilings onto you
and call it realism.
They wrap doubt in concern
and call it guidance.
They mistake their fear
for your fate.

And if you’re not paying attention,
you start shrinking to fit their imagination.

So let me say this clearly:

Don’t let someone else’s untested limits
become the borders of your life.

You are allowed to want more.
To try.
To fail.
To rise again.
To build something they could never picture
because they’ve never dared to picture it for themselves.

what you “can’t” do,

In 2018, a man, a communication expert and public speaker by the name of David JP Phillips, decided to take a chance on a student studying in South Africa.
She showed great promise, great potential, and for reasons she didn’t fully understand at the time, he trusted his instinct.
So he offered her a scholarship… and eventually, a job.
That student was me.

And that decision changed the trajectory of my life.
Every now and then, someone enters your world and alters the way you think, create, and communicate. Someone whose influence becomes part of your inner architecture.
For me, David is one of those rare people. A permanent figure in my story.
Working with you was an experience I don’t honour nearly enough.
To have been taught by you - not just the frameworks and psychology, but the discipline, mindset, and heart behind true communication - shaped me in ways I’m still discovering today.
You taught me to look deeper.
To communicate with intention, not instinct.
To honour both the science and the soul of storytelling.
To build my own world from which to shine.

Your lessons will stay with me.
They have helped to develop my craft, my identity, my unique style and the standard I now hold myself to as I step into a new chapter - one built on a foundation you helped lay.

Closing this chapter doesn’t lessen its meaning.
If anything, it sharpens it - allowing me to look back with clarity and deep gratitude for the growth, challenge, laughter, and transformation that shaped me far beyond any title.
